An immersive journey towards the island of Pellestrina: the untamed heart of the Venetian Lagoon, originally inhabited by people with ‘strange skin’, who have, over time, maintained a deep connection with nature and community life.
Tradition strengthens the bond between generations and forges a lasting consensus. Thus, Pellestrina represents time’s triumph over the ideology of consumerism: a slow, expansive time, rich in endless knowledge. An experience that springs from the relationship between the captain of *Oedipus Rex*, Enrico Vianello, and the island: the place where he was born. Hence the name ‘roots’.

Sailing towards Pellestrina via the island of Poveglia and the Lido.
We’ll dock at the jetty of Ristorante di Celeste, which will bring its tasting menu on board.
After lunch, we’ll take you to the nearby beach at Pellestrina, with your picnic basket, towels and parasol. Here you can enjoy the local flora and fauna as well as experience a day in the life of a Pellestrinotto.
Back on board the Edipo, a tasting session with a local producer of mussels or oysters will await you.
On the return journey, we will pass by St Mark’s Basin at sunset.
