An autumn Sunday, a table open to new acquaintances, a fresh perspective on the lagoon, and a special seasonal menu curated by Giovanni Ballarin.

A truly special menu, curated by our resident chef Giovanni Ballarin, designed to let you discover the flavors of the land and this transitional season.

For us, the lagoon is not merely a backdrop, but a living organism that calls for attentive listening while offering a unique experience of environmental and cultural immersion.

Our approach to gastronomy—deeply connected to the lagoon ecosystem and shared with the chefs we work with daily on board—is rooted in a philosophy of radical seasonality, recovery, and the enhancement of ingredients that are truly native to the territory.

The experience was born from the desire to open Edipo up to more people. And now that wish comes true, at an open, shared table, where food becomes conviviality, a shared discovery of a place, dialogue. The lagoon will take center stage, along with the skilled cuisine of Giovanni Ballarin, balancing tradition and innovation.
An accessible experience at a fixed price of €180 per person.

Program

The Onboard Experience

The Edipo Re will be waiting for you, moored at Marina Sant'Elena, before setting off on a comfortable cruise to Poveglia, a magical, quiet corner of the lagoon.
You will be welcomed by our Giovanni Ballarin with a signature drink, while discovering the Vela d’Artista project, which transforms the boat into a floating work of art every two years.

APPETIZERS TO SHARE
Roasted pumpkin, creamy salt cod, hazelnuts, and chives
Sardines in saor, white grapes, toasted pine nuts, and late-season radicchio
Grilled leek, Montasio fondue, truffle emulsion, and crispy bread
Scampi, green apple, celeriac, and horseradish mayonnaise
Scallops with brown butter, Jerusalem artichokes, and beurre blanc

FIRST COURSE
Risotto with shrimp, mushrooms, and sweet garlic cream

ACCORDING T
Catch of the Day, Radicchio in Saor, and Potato Mousse

DESSERT
Apple, whole-grain crumble, almonds, and vanilla Chantilly cream

All served with wines, drinks, and coffee, in an atmosphere that shifts with the light, the tides, and the rhythm of the water.

  • Duration: circa 4 ore.
  • Meeting Points: Sant’Elena or Punta Sabbioni. A pick-up service is available aboard our motorboat, Timeless, with a dedicated transfer for up to 10 guests. At the end, the service will take you back to the starting point
  • Guests are also free to reach the Edipo Re at the mooring point by taxi or with their own means of transport. Please let us know when you make your reservation so that we can provide you with the exact location.
